Jeran Herbert

Jeran Herbert is a Community Planner at GCCDS. He is a first-generation American, with roots hailing from the Eastern Caribbean, and holds a B.L.S and Master of Urban & Regional Planning from Alabama A&M University.

Having worked in various capacities spanning fields from GIS to policy analysis, Jeran has a depth of experience in both quantitative and qualitative research. A focus in his career has been the outreach to and engagement of disadvantaged communities, working through the lenses of health, equity, inclusion and resilience.  He thrives in environments with diverse ranges of stakeholders, with a goal to effectively develop and manage programs and initiatives.
