GRANT Rebuilding East Biloxi, January 2006. HUD- University Rebuilding America Partnership Grant. We are one of 7 universities to recieve national funding to work with Hurricane Katrina recovery.

COURSES and EXHIBITS.  Mississippi Gulf Coast Resilient Home Building Conference, Biloxi, MS, March 2010.  Assisted in the planning and participated in Resilient Home Building Conference in conjunction with Mississippi Gulf Coast Annual Home and Garden Exposition.  The conference was organized by the Community and Regional Resiliency Institute (CARRI).  The Gulf Coast Community Design Studio designed and built three sequential Full-scale Building Exhibits, demonstrating resilient building techniques for wood frame construction.  In addition GCCDS professionals taught three courses on Resilient Building Principles for sites and foundations, framing, and building envelope.

GRANT Floodproof Commercial Construction research, sponsored by the Department of Homeland Security and South Eastern Regional Research Initiative.
